SOPFEU will do a data collection in Pakuashipi and Saint-Augustin

On August 24 and 25, 2017, data collection and assessment concerning community ground vulnerability to forest fires will be carried out by members of the Northern zone management team of the Société de protection des forêts contre le feu (SOPFEU) in the community of Pakuashipi and the municipality of Saint-Augustin.

The public will see workers dressed in SOPFEU shirts taking pictures in private yards as part of this data collection initiative.

Data collection work is among the fire-prevention and implementation procedures of the Special organization plan for protection against forest fires in the Northern protection zone.

Caution is advisable when using fire during your forest outings. An unwatched or poorly extinguished fire may trigger a larger blaze.
